My father took me to the “dark room” for the first time when I was about 10 years old. Together, we learned how to develop film and how to print on paper (black & white of course).
For my Bar-Mitzva, I received my first camera. To save money, it was a special camera that could take 72 pictures out of a 36 picture film.
When my wife’s grandmother asked us, “What do you want for your wedding present?” We said, “A camera!”
“A camera is not a present,” was the answer, so we got a nice set of tableware.
The first time ever I went to photography class was during summer of 2010. As my birthday present, my wife bought me a course of “Wine Country workshop” with Susan and Neil Silverman who taught me, for the first time, how to hold a camera.
I like to take pictures of landscapes, but much more of people: kids, adults, rich, poor, on vacation, at work but always in their natural surroundings.
